Poor Neglected Blog...
It occurs to me that I should really update more. It seems that making games takes up a lot of time that would be otherwise spent talking about making games.

iPhone Games
Being that I'm a huge fan of a) handheld games b) Apple and c) My iPhone, it's natural that I'd be excited for today's launch of the iPhone App Store and the possibilities for new and exciting games that Apple's open development platform will bring. Not to mention that the iPhone's unique interface is sure to allow for some really interesting way to interact with the upcoming first wave of games. Apple's platform encourages designers and developers to think in new ways and gaming without a gamepad provides for some unique solutions to the problems that console and PC developers frequently face.
The store is already up and I've been taking a look through the initial offerings. Super Monkey Ball is sure to be unique, since from what I've heard it uses the iPhone's accelerometers to balance the monkeys in their little torture balls. I'm really excited for Columns, which was one of the first offerings on the Sega Genesis, and a personal classic favorite of mine. I'm surprised to see it ported to the iPhone, but as a player and a customer, I couldn't be more pleased. Those will probably be the two I pick up first and then maybe a couple of the more esoteric offerings just to see what people have come up with. (Although Battle of Waterloo and Bomberman are also tempting)
It's an exciting time. Mobile gaming has the potential to be more that a niche market now that it's being backed by Apple. With a powerful platform that is really just a tiny PC with a phone component and a touch interface, this could really go places.

Some Fallout 3 News
Todd Howard recently posted the second fan interview over at the Bethsoft Forums. It's a pretty long read, but he reveals a lot of information and candidly answers about 20 questions from the fans. If you're interested in Fallout 3, it's certainly worth a look. There are also three new screen shots posted, including one of my favorite bar in the Wasteland:
